In these last areas where human presence is manifested through overfishing and pollution have greatly reduced the distribution of this species. However, it seems that persists in the area some farming area, such as the Strait of Messina. Occasionally, this species can also reach waters of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Sea of ​​Okhotsk and the Tierra del Fuego.
